Israeli Border Police have arrested 17 Palestinians who were attempting to illegally enter Jerusalem. The individuals, hailing from the West Bank and Gaza Strip, were apprehended within the framework of an ongoing operation aimed at preventing infiltration into Israeli territory.
The arrest was facilitated by advanced surveillance techniques, including drone technology, which enabled authorities to identify a suspicious truck traveling from the West Bank to Jerusalem. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle had a hidden compartment containing the 17 individuals.
The truck driver, a 23-year-old Jerusalem resident with alleged ties to Hamas, was also arrested. Both the driver and the infiltrators are currently being interrogated by Israeli security forces.
