A ballistic missile launched at Israel by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels was successfully intercepted by Israeli air defenses, the military confirmed Tuesday. No injuries or damage were reported.

The missile triggered air raid sirens in Jerusalem and nearby towns. Residents received a push notification alerting them to the incoming threat approximately four minutes before the sirens sounded.

This latest launch marks the 33rd ballistic missile fired at Israel by the Houthis since the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) resumed their offensive against Hamas in Gaza on March 18. In addition to the missiles, at least 10 drones have also been launched from Yemen, though several have failed to reach their targets.

The attack is part of a broader escalation in regional hostilities, with continued conflict in Gaza, strikes reported in southern Lebanon, and increasing tension along multiple fronts.
