National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resume full-scale military operations in the Gaza Strip following an attack by terror operatives on Israeli troops in Rafah.

“This Nazi terrorist organization must be destroyed completely and the sooner the better,” Ben Gvir said, criticizing the belief that Hamas could be trusted to uphold its ceasefire commitments. He called on the IDF to act at full strength, warning that continued inaction threatens Israel’s security.

The statement follows Ben Gvir’s recent comments on Channel 12’s “Meet The Press,” where he set an unspecified deadline for Netanyahu to dismantle Hamas and impose the death penalty for terrorists. He reiterated that his far-right Otzma Yehudit party could leave the government if Hamas “continues to exist” after hostages are freed, rejecting what he described as “a national defeat” or “eternal disgrace.”
