Hamas operatives kidnapped, tortured, and executed 22-year-old Oday Nasser Al Rabay for participating in protests against the group, his family claims. His body was left outside his home over the weekend, sparking outrage and funeral chants of “Hamas out!”

This marks the first reported killing linked to the recent anti-Hamas demonstrations, which lasted three days last week before halting—reportedly due to intimidation tactics by Hamas. Protest organizers, including a Gazan now living in Turkey, say they have received threats from the group.

Despite evidence, Hamas insists the protests were anti-Israel, not anti-Hamas. Reports suggest the group is considering releasing a small number of hostages to secure a truce during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday. However, ongoing Israeli military operations targeting Hamas operatives in Gaza have complicated their efforts to suppress dissent.

The protests reflect growing unrest in Gaza, as Hamas faces both internal opposition and Israeli military pressure.
