On Day 451 of the ongoing conflict, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for launching rockets at Israel over the weekend. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that a combat officer from the Givati Brigade was seriously wounded in northern Gaza on Monday. This injury comes just one day after Staff Sergeant Yuval Shaham was killed in battle on Sunday.
Five rockets were fired from Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, with three landing in open areas near Sderot. In response, the IDF conducted an aerial strike targeting terrorists operating from a building that once housed the Al-Wafa Hospital in Gaza City.
As the conflict continues, the situation remains tense with ongoing military operations and casualties on both sides.
