Hezbollah has shifted its strategy, aiming to escalate attacks on areas around Tel Aviv with long-range missiles. The group has confirmed these plans through its “Khaybar series of operations,” revealing details to Iranian, pro-Hezbollah, and Houthi media outlets. This move comes amid reports from Israeli media that Hezbollah is being defeated, with the group countering that it can intensify its offensive.
Iran appears to be backing Hezbollah’s efforts, as well as those of Iraqi militias and the Houthis. Recently, the Houthis claimed to have launched a new “Palestine 2” missile at Israel, while Hezbollah mentioned deploying Iranian-made Fateh missiles. In addition, Hezbollah reported an airstrike on Israel’s Kirya military base using drones, although no confirmation of the attack was seen on Israeli radar systems.
These developments suggest a coordinated campaign aimed at demonstrating Hezbollah’s growing capabilities and challenging Israeli defenses, despite claims of setbacks. The involvement of multiple factions underscores the broader regional tensions, with Iran at the center of these operations.
