Health Minister Uriel Buso has cautioned that identifying the bodies of four hostages set to be returned by Hamas may take time, depending on their condition.

“I visited the Institute of Forensic Medicine to see the preparations,” Buso told Walla, adding that professionals are ready to conduct identifications as quickly as possible.

However, he stressed that the process could range from brief to lengthy, as authorities lack precise information on the bodies’ state.

“The most important thing is to achieve clear identification, determine the cause of death if possible, and ensure a proper burial in Israel,” he said.

Hamas announced it would transfer the remains of Shiri Silberman Bibas and her two children, Ariel and Kfir, along with a fourth hostage. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed the release of four bodies but has not disclosed their identities.
