The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued another evacuation order in Gaza City on Sunday, warning residents near a third building that it would soon be struck due to Hamas terror infrastructure.
Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, announced the warning, emphasizing that civilians should leave the area immediately to avoid harm. The IDF has repeatedly stressed that Hamas embeds its military assets within residential neighborhoods, turning civilian areas into human shields.
This marks the third evacuation warning issued by the IDF in Gaza City in a single day. The military has consistently employed such measures, including phone calls, text alerts, and air-dropped leaflets, to minimize civilian casualties while targeting Hamas command centers, weapons storage, and tunnel networks hidden inside urban buildings.
Israel maintains that these operations are critical to dismantling Hamas’s war machine, which continues to operate despite heavy losses. By issuing repeated warnings, the IDF seeks to strike a balance between protecting Palestinian civilians and eliminating ongoing terrorist threats.
