The Israel Defense Forces said Thursday that a rocket was launched from near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis toward a humanitarian aid corridor in southern Gaza.
According to the military, the rocket was fired as a convoy of trucks was en route to the Kerem Shalom Crossing to collect aid. It landed about 300 meters from the designated route. No casualties or damage were reported.
“The launch is yet another example of the terrorist organization’s ongoing attempts to systematically and brutally sabotage the passage of humanitarian aid,” the IDF said, referring to Hamas.
The attack highlights the challenge of maintaining aid deliveries during ongoing hostilities. Israel has accused Hamas of repeatedly targeting crossings, warehouses, and convoys, while international organizations warn that civilians are paying the price with worsening humanitarian conditions.
