The Israel Defense Forces confirmed it carried out airstrikes across southern Lebanon targeting weapons infrastructure used by Hamas and Hezbollah.
According to the IDF, the strikes hit weapons depots, underground military sites, and Hamas production facilities embedded within civilian areas. The military said evacuation warnings were issued in advance.
Israel stated the presence of weapons in residential zones demonstrates the terror groups’ use of civilians as human shields and constitutes a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The strikes come amid escalating tensions along Israel’s northern border, with reports suggesting Israel may be preparing for broader military operations against Hezbollah.
