Despite growing international concern and reports from Hamas-run health officials that 20 Palestinians died from starvation in two days, an Israeli security official said Tuesday that there is no confirmed famine in Gaza.

The official acknowledged delays in aid distribution, blaming the UN for failing to collect 950 truckloads of supplies waiting at crossings. Israel maintains that enough food has entered Gaza to feed the population, but looting, chaos, and security issues have disrupted delivery.

Critics argue Israel’s refusal to allow a stable governing body to replace Hamas has worsened the crisis. Aid agencies have reported deadly incidents and major logistical hurdles.
