Israeli prosecutors in the Southern District have drafted criminal charges against 22 Hamas terrorists involved in the October 7, 2023, massacre at Kibbutz Nir Oz, according to a report by Ynet.
The attack was part of the larger Hamas-led assault on southern Israel that day, which resulted in widespread casualties and destruction. Prosecutors have briefed Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara on the charges and are advocating for the passage of nine related legislative bills in the Knesset to support the legal process.
Authorities plan to consolidate the charges into a single indictment, which would cover not just the 22 individuals named, but also hundreds of other Hamas operatives involved in the attack.
The move marks a significant step in Israel’s efforts to bring those responsible for the deadly assault to justice.
