Israel launched a massive overnight airstrike campaign in Yemen, targeting Houthi-controlled ports, power infrastructure, and the hijacked vessel Galaxy Leader. The assault came hours after the Houthis fired ballistic missiles at Israel, prompting evacuations and alerts in the West Bank.

Twenty Israeli fighter jets dropped over 50 munitions on key targets, including radar systems the Houthis had installed on the Galaxy Leader to monitor maritime traffic. The IDF said the strikes aimed to disrupt Houthi attacks on Israel and global shipping.

The Houthis responded by launching two more missiles at Israel, with no injuries reported. The attacks follow months of Houthi aggression, including over 50 ballistic missile launches since March.

Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that Israel “will treat Yemen like Tehran,” vowing continued strikes if Houthi aggression persists. He stated, “Anyone who raises a hand against Israel will have it cut off.”
