A senior Israeli official has outlined Israel’s endgame in Gaza: total elimination of Hamas. Speaking from Washington, the official emphasized that success means Hamas is dismantled, its leadership exiled, its weapons surrendered, and a new governing force takes control.

“There has to be a system that manages life,” the official explained, suggesting Israel may need to temporarily take charge. “Maybe for a certain amount of time, it is us.”

Israel insists on three non-negotiable conditions to end the war: destroying Hamas, removing its leaders from Gaza, and full disarmament of the group. While open to discussions on aid distribution and troop positioning, these red lines remain firm.

The war began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a brutal invasion of Israel, killing over 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. Since then, Israel has waged a relentless campaign in Gaza, with 140 hostages freed so far.

As talks continue, Israel’s message is clear: there is no future in Gaza with Hamas in control.
