Kikar HaMusica or the Music Square

If you’re planning to visit Jerusalem and you are a music enthusiast, adding the Music Square or Kikar HaMusica on your list is a must. It’s one of the best place in the city to enjoy the Hebrew music.

Kikar HaMusica, popularly known as the Music Square, is a modern complex in the Nahalat Shiva district of Jerusalem’s beautiful center. The complex was designed with both the modern consumer and traditional Jerusalemite in mind, boasting Israeli design principles and a variety of family-friendly features. Once inside, visitors to Kikar HaMusica are greeted by an open space with varying levels of activity.

There is a performance platform where diverse performances take place in a comfortable environment, as well as a selection of restaurants and chef restaurants. Nahman and Kinor Bakikar are two of the best Mediterranean restaurants in town for those searching for an exquisite dining experience.

Music exhibitions, 17 luxury homes furnished in a music motif, and 5 musical inspired restaurants and pubs organized around an appealing courtyard with a stage for daytime and evening concerts are among the amenities and activities available.

The complex is still under construction, but there have been some amenities that have been opened up for the public to enjoy. The museum building has a Hebrew Music Museum that displays traditional instruments and rare recordings, as well as a gift shop and art gallery.

They also intend to construct a comedy, music, and voice institution, a studio space, a Hebrew Music Library, and a music inspired boutique hotel.

The completely immersive Hebrew Music Museum, designed by Amit Keren and Avi Ben Ozer, inaugurated in late April after a four-and-a-half-year development period. The museum is a permanent exhibition that covers the history of Israeli music from its inception onward. It includes displays on different genres of music and also showcases a number of old instruments for visitors to play.
