Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a “historic victory” for Israel following a US-brokered ceasefire that ended 12 days of war with Iran.

In a video statement, Netanyahu claimed that Israel had eliminated two major existential threats: Iran’s nuclear weapons ambitions and its ballistic missile arsenal. He credited a joint US-Israeli effort led by himself and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.

Netanyahu praised American forces for destroying key Iranian nuclear sites, including the underground Fordo facility and the Natanz enrichment plant. “We sent Iran’s nuclear program down the drain,” he said.

He specifically thanked US President Donald Trump for his decisive support. Despite Trump’s public anger over Israel’s strikes after the ceasefire was announced, Netanyahu called him “Israel’s greatest friend in the White House.”

The prime minister also promised that any attempt by Iran to restart its nuclear program would be met with equal force, and vowed to continue the fight in Gaza until Hamas is defeated and all hostages are returned.
