Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is recovering well following successful prostate surgery, Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem reported on Monday. His medical team confirmed that tests showed normal and satisfactory function, and he has been moved to an underground ward for continued recovery.
Netanyahu underwent the procedure on Sunday evening after a routine test for a urinary tract infection revealed a large benign growth on his prostate. The surgery to remove the growth was deemed successful, and he is receiving antibiotics for the infection.
As a result of the surgery, Netanyahu’s testimony scheduled for this week has been postponed until next week. His wife, Sara Netanyahu, and their son, Yair, are currently in Miami, Florida, and did not stay with him during the procedure.
The prime minister’s condition continues to improve, and he is expected to make a full recovery in the coming days.
