Israel’s military reported that a ballistic missile launched from Yemen on Monday was intercepted by air defenses—marking the second such incident in just a few hours.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), no warning sirens were triggered because no populated areas were under threat. The missile was successfully neutralized before it could cause damage.
Earlier in the day, another missile fired by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen activated sirens in the West Bank before also being intercepted by Israeli defense systems.
The incidents highlight ongoing threats from the Houthis amid regional tensions. No injuries or damage have been reported.
