Severe weather continued across Israel on Tuesday morning, bringing flooding, strong winds, and travel disruptions in multiple regions.
Flooding was reported in parts of Jerusalem, along Route 90 leading to Eilat, and in the coastal city of Netanya. Several motorists were rescued after becoming trapped in vehicles stranded by rising waters.
Emergency services said a number of people sustained light injuries after being struck by falling tree branches and debris dislodged by intense winds. Paramedics treated the injured at the scene.
As conditions worsened, flights to and from Haifa Airport were canceled for the day due to unsafe weather conditions. Authorities urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel, particularly in flood-prone areas and near waterways.
Rescue teams remain on high alert as stormy conditions are expected to persist, with officials warning that additional flooding and hazards are possible throughout the day.
