A recent survey by the Israel Democracy Institute finds that 76% of Jewish Israelis consider Israel safer for Jews than countries abroad, reflecting growing concerns over antisemitic attacks overseas. The survey, conducted after the December 2025 Bondi Beach terror attack in Australia, shows an increase from 71.5% in November 2024.
Political views shape perceptions: 83% on the right, 69% in the center, and only 41% on the left see Israel as safer. Among Arab Israelis, opinions are divided, with roughly one-third seeing Israel or abroad as safer, and 29% considering both equally safe.
