As global concern grows over images of starving children in Gaza, former President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are pushing back against claims of intentional starvation.

Trump blamed aid theft, suggesting Hamas is intercepting supplies. Netanyahu denied Israel restricts aid, claiming over 1.9 million tons have entered Gaza since the war began. Both blamed Hamas for manipulating the humanitarian situation.

However, aid groups and former U.S. envoy David Satterfield argue that Israel’s military operations and bureaucracy have hindered food distribution. Despite new Israeli measures — including air drops and humanitarian pauses — hunger continues to escalate.
