U.S. President Donald Trump delivered what he called his “last warning” to Hamas on Sunday, urging the group to accept a ceasefire and hostage-release agreement he said Israel has already approved.
“Everyone wants the hostages HOME. Everyone wants this war to end!” Trump posted on social media. “It is time for Hamas to accept [my terms] as well. There will not be another warning.”
Channel 12 reported that the U.S. proposal calls for the release of all hostages on the first day of a truce, followed by broader negotiations to end the war in Gaza. Israel has not officially confirmed its acceptance but is said to be giving the plan “serious consideration.”
Hamas responded by saying it was ready to return to talks, but only in exchange for an end to the war, Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and Palestinian self-rule there. Israeli officials dismissed the response as propaganda, accusing Hamas of making impossible demands while stalling on freeing hostages.
Trump has previously issued similar ultimatums, at one point warning Hamas there would be “hell to pay” if hostages were not released. He now says he expects a deal “very soon,” though doubts remain as Hamas continues to resist U.S. and Israeli terms.
