A deadly car explosion on Highway 200 near Ramle on Wednesday killed two women, believed to be a mother and daughter, in what police are investigating as a criminal act. The blast, which occurred around 5 p.m., is suspected to be linked to a violent feud between two crime families, according to reports from the Abraham Initiative.
Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene after the explosion but were unable to approach the vehicle until the fire was extinguished. Once they were able to reach the car, they discovered the victims, who were declared dead at the scene. Authorities were still working to confirm their identities at the time of the report.
This marks the third car bombing incident in Ramle in recent months, fueling growing frustration among local residents. In September, a car bombing killed four people, including a baby, and injured eight others. Many residents voiced anger over the lack of effective police protection, with some criticizing National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s response to the ongoing violence.
Locals expressed fear, saying crime is rampant throughout the city, leaving them feeling unsafe in their own neighborhoods.
