Iran Warns of “Immediate and Decisive” Response as Ceasefire Nears Expiration

With a two-week US-Iran ceasefire set to expire Tuesday, a senior Iranian military commander warned that Tehran’s forces are ready to respond instantly to any renewed hostilities. Ali Abdollahi said Iran retains the upper hand in the region, including control of the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides have accused each other of ceasefire violations and have tightened control over Gulf maritime traffic.
