Sen. Lindsey Graham is urging President Donald Trump to move ahead with potential military action against Iran, warning that restraint could embolden the regime.

Speaking to Axios after meetings in Israel and Gulf states, Graham acknowledged concerns about U.S. entanglement in the Middle East but argued that “letting evil go unchecked” carries greater consequences.

His remarks come as two U.S. aircraft carriers and hundreds of warplanes are positioned in the region. While Trump has reportedly reviewed military options, including targeting Iran’s leadership, no final decision has been made.

Some advisers are advocating continued negotiations, using the military buildup as leverage. Officials say Washington may consider limited uranium enrichment under strict conditions that block Iran’s path to a nuclear weapon.

Graham emphasized that history would judge leaders by their decisions in moments like this, making clear where he stands.
