Israel says it has made significant progress in its military campaign against Iran, focusing on dismantling the country’s missile capabilities and strategic infrastructure.

According to Israeli defense officials, the Air Force has destroyed or disabled a large majority of Iran’s missile launchers, with some estimates putting the figure as high as roughly 70–75 percent. This marks a major shift in the war, as Iran’s missile arsenal has been its primary tool for striking Israel and regional targets.

From the beginning of the conflict, Israel’s strategy has centered on targeting launchers, underground storage facilities, and production sites in order to reduce Iran’s ability to fire and replenish missiles. Recent strikes have hit key military-industrial sites in Tehran, including missile production facilities and command centers, further weakening Iran’s operational capacity.

The impact has already been seen on the battlefield. In the early days of the war, Iran launched large-scale barrages of missiles and drones. But as Israeli and U.S. strikes intensified, the frequency and scale of those attacks dropped significantly, indicating growing difficulty in coordinating launches.

Israeli officials also point to broader achievements beyond missile systems. Joint U.S.-Israeli operations have targeted Iran’s air defenses, aircraft, and surveillance networks, giving Israel near-complete aerial superiority over large parts of the country. Intelligence operations have even leveraged Iran’s own internal surveillance systems to identify and strike high-value targets, highlighting a new level of technological warfare.

Still, the threat has not been eliminated. Iran continues to launch missiles, including more complex and harder-to-intercept weapons such as cluster munitions, which have caused damage and casualties inside Israel. Military experts caution that while Iran’s capabilities have been heavily degraded, it still retains enough firepower to inflict harm and prolong the conflict.

Israeli leadership has described the campaign as only partially complete, with officials noting the operation is still ongoing and critical objectives remain ahead.

For now, Israel’s advances represent a major strategic achievement, significantly reducing one of Iran’s most dangerous military threats, even as the war continues and uncertainty remains about how quickly it will end.
