Israel’s Home Front Command says the country should prepare for more difficult days ahead as missile fire from Iran and attacks by Hezbollah continue.

Maj. Gen. Shai Klapper said nationwide restrictions will remain in effect until at least Saturday evening, with another assessment to follow. For now, schools and educational activities remain closed across the country.

Under current guidelines, gatherings of up to 50 people are allowed only if a shelter can be reached in time. Workplaces may also continue operating under the same condition.

Klapper said the Home Front Command is reevaluating policy daily, balancing public safety with the need to preserve national continuity, economic activity, and the functioning of daily life. Still, he made clear that protecting civilians remains the central concern.

His warning came amid continued hostilities, with Israeli officials bracing for additional missile fire and unrest in the north. The decision to keep restrictions in place reflects the seriousness of the ongoing threat and the expectation that the security situation could worsen before it improves.

For now, Israelis are being told to remain alert, follow official instructions, and prepare for more days of uncertainty as the conflict continues.
