U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said President Donald Trump is serious about confronting Iran and will not issue threats he does not intend to keep.

In an interview with Israel’s Channel 12, Huckabee said Trump remains open to diplomacy but is prepared to act if negotiations fail. “This is a president who keeps his promises,” he said. “He doesn’t make empty threats.”

Huckabee stressed that no final decision has been made regarding a potential U.S. strike on Iran, adding that Trump prefers a peaceful resolution that halts Iran’s nuclear ambitions and threats against Israel.

Addressing Israeli concerns, Huckabee said the U.S. Embassy was surprised by recent airline flight cancellations to Israel, noting that no special restrictions have been placed on embassy staff.

Iran has warned that any U.S. attack would trigger retaliation against Israel and American assets in the region. Huckabee urged Israelis to continue daily life while remaining alert.
