Six people were murdered and 12 wounded Monday when two Palestinian terrorists opened fire at a crowded bus stop at Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction.
The attackers, identified as Mohammad Taha, 21, and Muthanna Amro, 20, sprayed bullets at pedestrians and a bus before being killed by civilians and an off-duty soldier. Victims included Levi Yitzhak Pash, 57; Yaakov Pinto, 25; Yisrael Matzner, 28; Rabbi Yosef David, 43; Rabbi Mordechai Steintzag, 79; and Sarah Mendelson, 60.
Dashcam footage captured the chaos, including a taxi driver calmly helping an elderly woman out of his cab under heavy fire — a moment of quiet heroism amid the terror.
Prime Minister Netanyahu, who visited the scene, vowed to continue Israel’s fight against terrorism “on all fronts,” from Gaza to Judea and Samaria. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir reiterated his push to expand civilian gun ownership, saying, “Weapons save lives.”
Security forces are now encircling the attackers’ villages near Ramallah as part of the ongoing investigation.
