President Donald Trump announced that the United States is actively engaged in negotiations with Iran, signaling possible progress toward ending the ongoing conflict — though major uncertainties remain.

Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said his administration is “talking to the right people” and claimed Iran is eager to reach a deal. Key figures involved in the talks include senior U.S. officials and envoys working through both direct and indirect channels.

At the same time, the Pentagon is reportedly preparing to deploy thousands of troops from the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East, underscoring the continued military tension.

According to reports, the U.S. has presented Iran with a detailed 15-point proposal. The demands include dismantling nuclear infrastructure, ending uranium enrichment, limiting missile capabilities, and halting support for regional proxy groups. In return, Iran could receive sanctions relief and assistance with civilian nuclear development.

However, Israeli officials are expressing concern that the U.S. may push for a rapid ceasefire framework before securing firm commitments, potentially allowing Iran to gain strategic advantage.

A proposed plan includes a temporary one-month ceasefire during which both sides would negotiate a broader agreement. Talks could take place in Pakistan, though Iran has not yet confirmed participation.

Despite Trump’s optimism, intelligence assessments suggest significant gaps remain between the two sides, making a quick resolution unlikely.
